The Wisconsin Screenwriters Forum Announces 2005-06 Contest Winners

The Wisconsin Screenwriters Forum is pleased to announce the winners of the 2005-06 WSF Screenwriting Contest. In the Features division, first-place honors go to Stephen Settle of New Holstein WI for his Grecian action/drama, EKE’BOLOS. In the TV division, top honors go to Matthew Taticek of Oshkosh WI for his Scrubs script, “My Old Flame.”

Second place in Features goes to Mary Santarelli of Kenosha WI for Giving Sun Away, a romantic drama.  And third place goes to Robb Henrickson of Milwaukee WI for his romantic comedy, Second Chances.

In the TV Division, the runners-up (tied for second) are Luke Kalteux of Los Angeles for his Curb Your Enthusiasm script, “The Coat” and Eric Strelitzer of Oshkosh WI for his Curb Your Enthusiasm script, “The Place Mat.”

 

Thom Wilder of Bensenville IL is the winner of the Mel Brenner Memorial Award, for his script Strange Bedfellows.  The Mel Brenner Award is given to a writer whose script exemplifies risk-taking in subject matter or structure. 

The Features division was judged by screenwriter and novelist Tom Matthews (Mad City, Like We Care).

The TV division was judged by TV producer/writer Steve Marmel (Johnny Bravo, The Fairly OddParents).

The 2005-06 contest was co-sponsored by InkTip.

Larry obtains a coat that puts him in hot water with Cheryl, gets him banned from a restaurant, and thrown out of a Special Olympics benefit.
